Big update — we just made one of the most important hires in RYSE history, and we're launching a dedicated brand to go after one of the largest untapped channels in the window covering industry.
Meet Darian Tomas — our new Head of Sales & Business Development.
Darian is joining to lead the launch and growth of MOTORYSE, our new B2B brand built specifically for the dealer and custom integration (CEDIA) channel.
His mandate is clear:
Build out our network of window blind dealers across the U.S.
Expand into AV / custom installers and system integrators (the CEDIA channel)
Create strong channel partnerships that drive long-term, repeat revenue
We already have 100+ window blind dealers interested in onboarding to resell our products. Now it's about executing properly, supporting them, and scaling this the right way — which is exactly why we brought Darian on.

WHY THIS CHANNEL IS MASSIVE
Here's the opportunity we're going after:
There are ~2,100+ window treatment stores in the U.S., plus ~5,200+ custom AV/automation integrators — that's 7,300+ potential partners.
Motorized window coverings are only at 14.5% penetration today, projected to hit 17.5% by 2029. We're riding a wave that's still building.
Smart home penetration just crossed 52% — homeowners expect automation, and dealers need a product to sell them. That's us.
Here's what the math looks like under our Base Case Projections:
Dealer Channel (Window Treatment Stores)
591 active dealers by Month 36
~$862K/month in wholesale revenue
$13.7M cumulative over 36 months
CEDIA Channel (Custom Integrators)
405 active integrators by Month 36
$1.08M/month in wholesale revenue
$15.4M cumulative over 36 months
Combined, that's ~$1.94M/month and $29M+ in cumulative wholesale revenue over 3 years — from a channel that doesn't exist for us today.
Simple math: if an average dealer orders just $1,400/month in product (roughly 4 SmartShades, 4 SmartCurtains, and 4 SmartBlinds), and we activate ~600 of them, that alone is north of $10M/year in run-rate revenue. Integrators order roughly 2x that per partner because their projects involve more windows per job.
MEET DARIAN

Darian is an entrepreneur at heart. He started his first business at 16 and has been building ever since.
He was one of the first Sonos team members in Canada. He helped grow their retail and custom integration channels to over 200+ dealers, as Sonos evolved from a niche audio brand into a household name. He understands distribution. He understands channel strategy. He understands how to scale.
If that sounds familiar — going from DTC darling to serious retail/dealer expansion — that's exactly the playbook we're running.
Later, he co-founded CINQ Your Edge, a kitchen tool brand he bootstrapped from zero to 160+ retail partners, with nearly 1,000 retail doors in sight. Built entirely through relationships, hustle, and disciplined execution.
At his core, Darian is relationship-driven. He looks for real win-win outcomes. He builds trust first, then growth follows. That's exactly the mindset we need as we scale MOTORYSE.
Outside of work, he's a husband and proud dad of two young boys. He loves cooking, the outdoors, and pushing himself beyond his comfort zone — including completing the highest bungee jump in North America. So yeah, he's not afraid of a leap.
